This vowel has no counterpart in English but is something like the sound you would make trying to say “sir” through your clenched teeth.
It is represented in the transliteration by “EU”.
-ื

This is a longer sound than the above and has no counterpart in English.
It is represented in the transliteration by “EU”.

There is not much difference between these two vowels except that the second is longer and more tense.

-ุ

This has the short sound of “oo” as in “Book”.
It is represented in the transliteration by “OO”.
-ู

This has the long sound of “oo” as the “Moon”.
It is represented in the transliteration by “OO”.
