Classifiers.

BY
c
ใบ
Used for receptacles and round or flat hollow objects such as bags, cups, plates, jars, bottles etc.
It is also used for leaves, small sheets of paper, tickets etc. Also used for cushions.
It is very commonly used for fruit in place of PON or LOOK and also generally used for eggs in place of the more strictly correct FORNG.

LOOK
d
ลูก
Used for balls, cartridges and small round fruit such as Rambutans.
Also used for the young of animals and humans.

MET
h
เม็ด
Used for pills, seeds, gems etc.

LUNG
r
หลัง
Used for houses, rafts, mosquito nets.

UN
c
อัน
Small unclassified things in general. This is a most important and useful classifier as it can be used for all sorts of things. If you forget the proper classifier to use for spoons, books, fruit, lamps, brushes and many other things you can use UN and it will get you through.
