Over November and December 2007 Kyoto Alpha FM were regularly playing your Potential Break Up Song. I never heard this in the UK so eventually I looked it up and read a bit about you on various web sites, like here.
Sorry to be the one to tell you this, I think your boyfriend broke
up with you. In The Art of War, Sun Tzu says the best way
to win a battle is without fighting. It's a bit of a give away; he didn't
call you on your birthday after not calling you for a while. And you
fell for it, decided not only to "initiate" a break up but you also said
you don't want to see him, he should just drop your stuff off when you're
not in. He's thinking: no awkward confrontation, no crying, no having to lie about his other
girlfriends, etc. Sweet. Sun Tzu would have been proud.
To be frank, I can see why. You seem a bit whiney to me. This birthday thing is just a decoy, a beating stick if you will. Guys all know chicks have this irrational attachment to their date of birth, a totally arbitrary notion. What makes you think it slipped his mind ? Let's get down to the real crux of the matter: this is a potential break up song. You're just trying to get some emotional leverage and this is just another whiney way to do it. You really took control by waiting until he didn't call you on your birthday. All the times he didn't call you before, that was OK ? Yeah, real take charge stuff, waiting for a good excuse to end it; you're in control, oh yes.
Really, if you were that hot he would be calling you all the time. Unless you were very annoying. Bet you'll be angry when he doesn't call you to try to make up too. In case you haven't figured it out by now, there might be a rather long wait for that one...
Nice song, by the way; sassy.
Best,
Lyndon
